 A Little Faster
Had a short window between rain storms today so tried to have a short fast ride. Wind was supposed to be a bit nasty but out of the west which would provide a crosswind for most of the south-north ride. Legs felt pretty good up the Fitzpatrick climb and even better on the rollers to Horseheads. Snapped the small climbs and had a seventeen average at the turn that is two miles an hour over my norm. Still felt good as I headed back down the valley and was looking for a really good time when the wind shifted from the west to the north. Fought for a while but I just didn't have the legs and had to continuously lower my expectations as the miles ran out. Was a little disappointed at the end but at least it qualified as a fast ride for me.
