This morning I headed out to meet the Swamp ROMP group and ride to TR with them. I went down to the Park and saw that my route was closed to traffic, so I detoured around County Square and Fluor Field and caught the Trail on Willard Street. I rode to the Cafe to meet the group and saw Joe, Karen, Stewart and Diane, Art, James, and me. The ride was at a very conservational pace. Karen and I swapped stories and caught up on each other's family gossip. It took us a good while to make the 7 miles to TR. Once in TR, I bade a farewell to the group and headed north. I came up on a pair of young women and chased them up the trail. I passed them about a mile from the north end then turned back at the north end and met them about 1/8 of a mile from the end. I rode back to TR and stopped at Dukes Doogs for a Turkey Dogg with turkey chile, mustard, and onions. I got off the Trail there and followed Old Buncombe back to Greenville and home.
