Winds died down again so thought it was safe to venture outside. Started out a little on the cool side but warmed up nice on the first climb out of Watkins. Took the express route to Glenora then opted for the scenic route to Geneva. Rolled along nicely with a slight crosswind and enjoyed the ride. Missed a turn along the way and ended up coasting back to SR14 in Dresden which actually makes the ride a little flatter but more exposed to the wind. Fortunately wind had shifted a little and got fifteen miles of good tailwind in to Geneva. Picked up a little wind after making the turn out of Geneva but really wasn't too bad and kept a good cadence up East Lake road. Avoided Samson Park and climbed back up to 96A and continued on the highway until Willard where I went back to secondary roads. Climbed fairly smoothly and the rough road on the final section of the climb didn't bother near as much as last time. Bad news was the wind really picked up over the last twenty miles of the ride and of course it had to be a headwind. Passed a couple of other riders near Hector who where riding slowly into the wind. Turned out to be a pretty good lap around the lake. Kept riding steady and finished in fairly good condition.
