Loaded "Murray" (my road bike) into my truck & drove to work this morning, planning on doing the West County Thursday Night ride after work. The forecast for today called for rain and it turned out to be moving really slow and was still moving into the area at 4:30 - not moving out where I would just have to deal with wet roads. So, I scrapped the plans and came straight home after work.
I was then able go by Trail Blazers bike shop, where I have a new wheel for my commuter bike waiting. I took pieces of an adapter system that will allow me to install a disc brake on the back wheel. They will install a couple of the components on the wheel, then I can work on installing the rest of the system on the bike. I've had a disc brake on the front wheel for almost a month now. It will be nice to get things together and update the back wheel, too.
After stopping by the bike shop, Jacque & I went out to dinner at Long Horn.
