Sun was out and it was warm and it wasn't too windy but didn't feel much like riding today. Waited to late in the day after thunderstorms passed but they went through gently and only dropped a smattering of rain. Could have got the road bike out and did some hills but went for the mountain bike instead with a short ride through the swamp. Had a very pleasant ride. Saw two other riders on the bird trail. Interfaced with a fishing camp that had set up in the trail and saw some goslings that had recently hatched. Nesting pair had about a dozen little ones following them about. Thought the main part of the flock had left the area as they weren't in the swamp as usual. Did find them later in the ride as they were hanging about a soccer field at the high school on the other side of the canal. Got a short ride in but really need to get some serious mile in as have a mountain century in Virginia coming up later in the month.
