 Sandy Bottom
Another sunny day and another course repeat with one small change. Instead of going straight or turning left at the Sturgeon Point crossroads, I went to the right today. The turn provided the highlight of the day as I drafted a farm Machine in the low twenties for five or so miles. Got some decent motor pacing in. The road dumped me out on a highway north of Charles City at a small place called Sandy Bottom. Rode into a headwind for a few miles on the highway to Charles City where I picked up a tailwind and returned to the Jamestown Settlement mostly on the trail. Took a detour around the end of the trail on some highways with bike lanes and picked up a couple of miles and some rolling climbs. Hopefully I'm done with the trail for a while but may have to do a bit more tomorrow if the Colonial Parkway exploration doesn't pan out.
