Up the Front side of the Mountain
Even though it was hot and windy I decided to go up the front side of Paris Mountain today. It was just over 90 degrees and the wind was relentless. I felt like I fought the wind the whole ride today. I really thought that once I was on the mountain that the tree lined road would be fine, but the trees were swaying and I was getting rocked by it. Paris Mountain is also part of the road course for the USA Pro Cycling Championship race on Monday and they had been up there with a bush hog or something to knock down the stuff along the road and that stuff was scattered all over the road. That made the climb a little harder and the descent treacherous. Once down I went toward Travelers Rest so that I would have enough miles to complete a quarter. Overall it was a good ride.
