Ride Description: From the Cabin. Namakagon-Rock Lake- Emerson Cut Off combo.
Met a large group of 7 with dogs at Rock Lake, where I was stopped checking my cassette for play. Might be time for a new free hub again. (1822 total miles)
The two dogs led me to Hildebrand, where I waited for the owners.

HR Monitor includes 46 minutes of rest, eating, taking pictures and talking.
Rode the new short section at N29. Met Tim with 3 others at the entrance to the new section where John built his "rock wall chute" I was too tired to go look at it. I'll wait til the trail is complete.
The Husky dog that was with them rolled in some really stinky shit. I saw them later, washing the dog in the creek on "D".
Tim told me there's a guy that fixes the Mavic free hubs and sells them on ebay.

I was toast at 18 miles. No energy at all after that. Had to granny up the final hills.

Because of the growing number of technical rock features being added the the new singletrack at Rock Lake, Sue won't ride there anymore. I'm finding myself getting off the bike and walking, or riding around more and more difficult sections. And even more advanced trail features (Rock gardens-rock drops) are planned.
So I was on my own today. Sue went kayaking on Lake Namakagon.

The two dogs led me to Hildebrand, where I waited for the owners. I'm not sure what breed of dogs they were, but they were skinny, hyper, fast and loved to run.
The owner said they go ski-jorring (pull a cross country skier) all Winter.
I'm slow, and the dogs kept slowing down and looking back at me as if to say "Come on! Pick it up old man! Are you dragging an anchor?"

The Husky dog that was with them rolled in some fecal matter (poop). That was one horrible smelling dog!!! I saw them later, washing the dog in the creek on "D".
Tim told me there's a guy that fixes the Mavic free hubs (with new bushings) and sells them on ebay.

This is my favorite Mountain bike ride. I was too tired to add the Hildebrand Loop.
I ran out of gas at 18 miles. No energy at all after that. Had to granny up the final hills.
