Three nice hikes today.
First, The Windows.
Then Double Arch.
And finally, The Fiery Furnace.
The Fiery Furnace hike requires a permit, or you can sign up to do a guided group hike with a park ranger.
There are some very technical sections on this hike. It's not for everyone.
Oh yeah, it was very hot. And with 40 mph winds and the fine desert sand, it was like walking into a sandblaster.
We went with Joel "Showtime" the ranger.
Joel's degree is geology, but his delivery of the information was worthy of a Tony or an Oscar award.
He not only explained things, be put all of his body, heart and soul into each story. I nicknamed him "Showtime" because whenever the hike stopped, it was Showtime.

Photo #3 These loving parents must have a lot of insurance on their kids, they kept telling them to climb higher, on this very dangerous cliff, so they could get a better picture.
One misplaced foot, and it would have been very ugly.

Photo #5 We had two options, crawl on your belly through a tight slice of rock that led out a tight crevasse, or the scenic steps down and through a pretty little arch. We took the easy way.
