I headed downtown to join in the city sponsored Critical Crisis ride. I was there on time but saw no other cyclists and car traffic was very heavy with the Scottish Game Parade downtown and the Scottish Festival going on. I went up and down River Street then headed north on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. I battled the wind all the way to the north end then turned around to head back to the truck. I had passed through Travelers Rest and was a little north of Furman when I thought that I had just met Steve going north then I ran into Robin and PJ shortly behind him. I hollered at them then turned around to see what they were up to. We all headed back to the north end of the trail then turned back to the south. I had to get to Linky Stone Park under the Academy Street Bridge, PJ and Robin were parked on downtown, and Steve had to ride home on Pelham Road. It was an enjoyable leisurely ride. We all chit-chatted along the way and had a good time. We arrived downtown just in time to beat a big storm coming through town. I hope that Steve beat it home!
