After work I took off from home to get in a quick ride. I headed to Cleveland Park, across downtown, and back onthe Trail at Linky Stone Park. The ride up the Trail was fairly unremarkable. I did see a large snake on the trail about 2 miles north of Travelers Rest. It was black with silver/white markings on its underside. I don't know what kind of snake it was. I turned around at the north end and rode back to Travelers Rest and stopped at Dukes Doggs. Kimberly came in as I did. She had just bought an old steel Bianchi and a "re"store and plans to clean up and refinish it. So i had to look it over. She goes to Dukes to sit and study for her nursing classes. I had a chili-cheeseburger with mustard, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, and onion with fries and a lemonade. I also filled my water bottle with ice. Kristy and I had to talk about Steve leaving town again for another of his end line of vacations. I'll let him know that we talked mercilessly about him. The ride back down the trail was surprisingly barren of other riders, but was a nice ride. Laurens Road and East North Street were really crowded, but I was on them during rush hour.
