This morning I rode from home on the Straggler. I rode from home to Cleveland Park and took the Trail to McDaniel Street. I took University Ridge to the wooden pathway that goes down to the Trail. It is closed at the bottom, but I wanted to see how the construction is going on the bridge that crosses the Reedy River. While there I ran into an older couple from church and talked to them for a while. From there I went back up the path and passed by County Square and Fluor Field. I crossed over 123 and took Mayberry to Willard Street and got back on the Trail. I rode north to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and. Glass of milk. I also bought a pair of strawberry/pecan scones to go and brought half of the sandwich home as well. While there Imet Sam and Erynn from church. I rode back down the trail and took my old path home. While passing through Cleveland Park a family was cycling on a walking path an coming down a very steep section from above the tennis courts. The little girl crashed hard on the trail and laid there screaming. I rode over while her dad checked her over for broken bones. She has some nasty road rash. She was a cute little girl about 6-years-old riding a little bike with pink 16" wheels. She went down hard but seemd fine other than the road rash.
