 Less Mild Hills
Did my first real climb of the new year up Skyline and was really disappointed. Had absolutely nothing and struggled to get up the plus 10% stuff and didn't recover after the top either. Went into tour mode and just rode slowly tried to enjoy the ride and take in the scenery. Second climb up to Logan didn't go much better but lacking any steep sections it is just riding slowly with no suffering involved. Last twelve miles of the ride was downhill and was coasting comfortably and enjoying the lake veiw back down SR 414 when I got buzzed by a racer guy. He flew by me at a high rate of speed and I decided to pursue since it was downhill and with a tailwind. Caught him easily then wheel sucked for a couple of miles. So ride started poorly with the horrendous climbing but ended well with a successful high speed pursuit. Legs arestill tired but saddlesore seems to have gone into remission as it only gave me mild discomfort today.
