 Logan and a ITT
Took an early ride as had great weather for it with the temperature up near eighty by nine AM. Planned on doing a time trial in the afternoon so didn't want to trash my legs on the morning ride to Logan. Only stayed out of the saddle on Skyline to the village line and paid for the leisure pace with a poor split over the top. Spun hard with the tailwind to Burdett and thought I would have a better time with the effort but ended up a little slow. Spun the climbs to Logan and legs felt smooth though they weren't putting out much wattage. Felt good on the way back down the lake and finished at a comfortable, mild pace.

Legs felt good and smooth during the warm up for the time trial in the afternoon and thought I might have a good one and was sure it would be better than the disaster form a earlier in the month. Wind was favorable with a mild southwest wind and a perfect temperature in the mid eighties. Had a poor start failing to get up to speed quickly and fading on the first climb out of town. Split for the first mile was nine seconds slow but much better than the twenty form last time. Tried to get the speed up and didn't see any results as was down another nine on the second mile. Third mile was better and kept the speed over the second climb. Heart rate had quickly gotten near the top and was able to hold it there without much pain. Speed dropped again on the third climb but recovered nicely and had a good turnaround. Hammered the backside and legs felt good. Cadence and heart rate were both where they should be but couldn't push the big gear today. Faded across the curse but had a decent ride by breaking the twenty-five minute mark. Legs felt good and thoroughly drained after the run which was ideal. Will need to get a better first mile in and do the small climbs a little better to get to the next level. Finished with a 24:29 which was three minutes better than last time and the best for the year.
