Got new chain Thursday, Was getting a clicky, rubby noise in 22/34. Adjusted deraileur. We'll check it tomorrow.
It's embarrasing to crash on a section of trail I helped build, but I took a stupid line at the 2nd flat rock drop on Hildebrand and clipped my handlebars on a tree, and BAM! OTB... DOWN GOES FRAZIER! DOWN GOES FRAZIER! Couple scratches and a tweeked thumb.
Mosquitoes are out around Hildebrand. Not too bad. Cleaned both switchbacks, but was very inconsistant in that area.
2 Ticks... Saw a Black Bear and Elk on the way to the cabin. Cool!

HR Monitor includes 27 minutes of rest. (Crashing, eating, taking pictures, trail maintanence...)

Ride Description: First time riding the Super V-1 singlespeed on singletrack. After this mornings long ride I was just going to do the 5 Mile Cut-Off. But After just .5 mile I was so tired, I turned around and went back. I thought, jeez this is TOUGH! this might be the last time I do this... But after getting back to the parking lot with just over a mile, I was so embarrassed, I went out and did the 5 Mile Cut-Off. Man, John built some incredible trails in there! Rock Gardens, Step Ups, Rocks, Rock Bridges (Armoring) and more rocks. Did I mention Rocks? Took some pictures of the Volkswagon Rock. I think I'll be able to ride that thing, it has a smooth roll out. But, I was too tired to attempt it tonight. I would have taken more pictures of some of the cool stuff in there, but the mosquitoes were a little agressive.
I walked a few of the more technical, rocky, slow sections, but started to get the hang of riding with one gear. I think I was faster than normal once I got the hang of it, but walking some sections brought the avg. speed down. Maybe a 32/18 might work a little better for me.
