Didn't seem to get any stronger as a result of yesterday's hammerfest. Very hot today and had planned on doing four or five climbs and sixty miles. Felt okay going up Jackson Hill but just spun it easy and planned to push the steeper climb out of Beardsley hollow. Legs went numb though when I hit the steep part and it took along time to get to the top. I also was guzzling water and burned through half my water in the first ten miles. Gave up on working on climbs and went zen as I abandonded my planned route. Dropped into Horseheads then headed out to the climb to and out of Erin and one of the best descents in the area Swartout Hill. Spun back into town from Van Etten with little problem. Legs worked okay as long as I didn't put any pressure on them.
