I've Got Something to Say

I didn't ride to work today, because it was to be the first Thursday Night ride of the season. However, I didn't take my bike stuff with me to work because the forecast called for afternoon/evening thunderstorms. So, I drove to/from work, and when I got home, I thought I would mow the front yard - both yards are really looking shaggy having not been mowed in almost two weeks & fertilizer put down right after that last mowing.
As I finished the front yard, I thought I would start on the backyard, going over it & just letting the clippings fly since it is so tall. With the lawn mower raised to its highest level, I was still cutting off 4+ inches. As I worked through the first run I was hoping the rains would come or the lawn mower would run out of gas (I didn't fill the tank up before I started) - either way would be a sign that it's time to quit. Well, neither happened when I finished going over the backyard, so I grabbed the catcher and a couple cans and started going over the backyard again, collecting the clippings, with the same 'out' plan. Well, there was no rain and enough gas, so the backyard got a complete mowing.
I would still rather have ridden my bike...
