I set out anticipating to do the Moe Metric Century (100 km = 66 Mi), but due to the heat (not use to 90 degree heat yet), and poor choice on my part to skip an early rest top (around mile 15),... I took a short cut around the 40 mile mark, thus reducing my total distance to 59 miles. The wind was a nuisance for the better part of the first 15 miles - it was steady out of the south, while we were ridnig mostly south. Then as the route turned north & west, the wind was helpful. However, for the last 20 of the ride, mostly east, seemed to be buffetted by a SE wind. Plus by that time, I was mentally ready to be done with the ride, the miles were so slooow in ticking away.
