Sun was back today though the north wind is still keeping things a bit cool. Attempted to complete the ride I shortened last week due to lack of light. Headed up Mud Lake without much drive. Legs feel better but lack snap. Had a good deal of the recent chest tightness again on the climb so kept things at an easy pace and that didn't change throughout the ride. My fitness level and weight loss now seem to be good enough that climbing isn't that much of a strain. Climbing fast is still beyond me but can crank off the hills now at a decent pace without too much effort. So crested the eight mile climb at a much lower average than last week's decent effort. I did get the speed above fifty on the downside of Sebring Hill. I thought that I might suffer a little in the headwind along Waneta Lake, but the trees are getting enough leaves on them now that the wooded areas actually provide protection from everything but a dead on headwind. Spun most of the smaller climbs that come in the second half of the route and pretty much coasted in the tailwind on the final section. It turned out to be an uninspired ride, but since I had thoughts about doing less miles today, it really turned out to be an okay ride. Got out in the sun and burned some calories without too much strain.
