Ride Description: GROUP RIDE... My first CENTURY!
TreknTeresa's Event was awesome in every way, great weather, great people, great support, great route! I got to meet, eat and ride with many BJ members! Rode mostly with, Slow_Moe (Dan), TreknTeresa, and dlf (Dale). We ate in Lena, enjoyed great scenery, had a drink at the Slurp and Burp in greater downtown Loran, jammed on Dales funky contemporary jazz music and climbed the mighty Binkley Hill! Slow_Moe spun up that monster in his saddle and wasn't even breathing hard at the top! He da Man! I made it by using a mountain bike technique I knew about, but had never tried, stepping or walking on my pedals, it works!
With 20 miles left, Dan and I picked up the pace. I felt great all day until the 88 mile mark, when everything started to ache. Legs were toast at 90 miles, but Dan kept me pushing. What a great guy! I couldn't have done it without him! Thanks Dan! At 100 miles I got my second wind.
What a great day. Thanks everyone!
