Another Thursday night 10 mile time trial to Millport and back. Conditions were similar to last week except the winds were increasing during the ride and was out of the NE rather than the NW. Felt decent during the warmup but was a little concerned about my condition after having a poor week on the bike. Started off well and hit the first hill out of the gate strong. Timechecks were good at the mile markers and was gaining five seconds a mile over last week's run. Caught my three minute man near mile four and still felt strong. Got to the turnaround with a 24.3 and was looking forward to a fast ride back but things started to go sour as I had to wait for traffic before making the turnaround. Average had dropped to 23.9 after the turnaround. Couldn't get backup to speed as rapidly as I did last week and squandered the first mile of the backside. Got the speed back up on miles six to nine but it wasn't enough to carry me through the curse. Went around RBI with a 24.8 but the curse had its way with me again and had to settle for a 24.7 mph. Ended up with a 24:14 down fifteen seconds from last week. A good chunk of the loss was turnaround related but still didn't have as strong of a ride on the backside as last week. Still was a solid ride and felt good to do the speed.
