Today we had seven riders for the ride - Ken and his son Daniel, Kimberly, Walter, Steve in his three-wheeled recumbent, Jim who rode to Furman since he'd been riding, and me. We headed through Cleveland park and Falls Park, then up the trail. We stopped to regroup a few times. I got separated from the group at a couple of crossings and chased them down. At the Forest I had ice water and a peach parfait. We each told cycling stories from our dads for Father's Day.
Coming back we regrouped a time or two, then Ken turned it up. Pretty soon I noticed that we had dropped Walter so I soft pedaled until he caught up. We rode together until he peeled off at River Street. I cut through downtown and beat the group back to Cleveland Park. It sure seemed hot out there.
