It was still on the damp side in the morning, but things dried out fairly well by afternoon. After three days of aggressive riding on the bike, I felt drained and thought about taking the day off. Sun was out and there was only a light wind for a change, and I felt guilty about letting a good riding day go by. Ended up just taking a leisurely ride up Fitzpatrick and over the Middle Road. Stayed in the saddle on the climb and kept it in a low gear. I was accosted by two separate dogs today and negotiated with them rather than try to outsprint them. Both were rather reasonable though insistent and was escorted for a good piece of road. There was quite a bit of barking but no biting, lunging nor nipping. They provided the only excitement of the day as the rest of the ride was just some easy spinning. Paving from the Schuyler County line to Montour on SR 14 is complete except for the painting of lines. Felt good to ride without having to dodge potholes and clumps of pavement. Legs felt better after the ride then they did before.
