Ride Description: W/Sue... Not sure how to log this ride... We started out by checking out the campgrounds, then we got on the Pa'rus Trail, a paved bike path, (3.4 miles) then we rode the road along the Virgin River, to the end of the Zion Canyon. There are very few cars allowed, only shuttle busses that are not allowed to pass cyclist's unless they pull over and stop. A very pretty ride. |

This would have been a better road bike ride, but we only brought our mountain bikes on this trip. Still, a fun ride.
First we rode around the campground to check things out. Then we took the beautiful Pa'Rus Trail, a 1.7 mile bike/hike path that follows the Virgin River.
At the end of the Pa'Rus trail, we took the road up the Zion Canyon. Only cars with special passes are allowed on this road, (we only saw 3) and the Zion Shuttle busses are not allowed to pass cyclists until they pull over and stop. We timed things perfectly, and only had to pull over 2 or 3 times to let the Shuttle busses pass. This made for a nice ride.
The red road was beautiful. The scenery incredible. We even found a nice little waterfall along the way.
The ride up the canyon was not very steep. The ride back down the canyon was fun.
