 Hagood Mill
Man! I was not ready for this ride. The mileage was going to push me, but I wasn't ready for the climbing and since we were riding so slowly it took us into the heart of the middle 90s temps to get home. There were 38 that left to ride to the mill and back. Cis and I have been there and it is a neat place. They have an old working grist mill and use to to grind several grains. They have food, music, arts and crafts, a blacksmith, a still, an old bridge, workers dressed in period garb, and several other attractions. The ride back was a killer for me. I just wasn't prepared to do that kind of climbing in the heat when riding at the upper end of my miles. But it was good to have most of our old group out again.
