 Fast Climbing
Really nice day today after yesterdays rain and opted to take a fast ride to Mechlenberg. Started up Old Odessa Hill and thought I had a good climb going but must have lost my focus along the way as was thirty seconds or so off a good time. Caught a mild tailwind on the grade out of Odessa and kept the average climbing. Did some high speed work on the run down to Mechlenburg and was surprised that I could hold the big gear. Had a real good climb out of Mechlenburg back to Burdett and bike seemed to sail along through the ensuing rollers. Kept good speed to Watkins and was well over eighteen entering town but lost it bumbling through traffic. Other than the first climb had a really strong and pleasant ride.
