Took the day off yesterday due to rain and have a race tomorrow so had to decide what kind of ride to go for and opted for a short brisk ride around Johnson Hollow. Headed off into the headwind and thought I might get lucky and dodge the rain but it caught up with me as I rode into Millport. Only had a couple more miles to go before climbing back toward home and hoped the rain won't move with me. Actually had a decent climb through the hollow and average speed climbed as I was actually faster through the climb then I was up the grade in the headwind. As I had hoped for climbed out of the light rain after a mile or two and actually felt refreshed. Pushed a big gear over the top of the hollow and up the hill on 414 and had good speed. Hit another shower at the top of the hill and briefly considered taking a cutoff down by the hospital but figured I was already wet and could score a couple of easy downhill miles by continuing. Coasted down in the light rain and then pushed back through the headwind home. Turned out to be a fun ride despite the rain.
