Planned on doing a 10 mile ITT in the afternoon so took an short early morning ride to Logan. Had a good climb up Skyline and am glad some feeling has returned to my legs. Spun into the headwind and made decent time without stressing my body. Had a strong run back down SR 414 with a good tailwind. Heavy traffic in Watkins really hurt the average speed. Saw a couple young riders heading up Burdett hill as I was hammering down.
Had a decent timetrial late in the day. Had good speed with the north wind on the way up and averaged over 24 mph to the turn. Had a good turnaround also and a fair run back into the headwind averaging around 26 mph on the return giving me an average of over 25 mph which I am happy with. Well shy of my best time with a 28 mph average but I thing those times are gone forever even with better technology. Felt I could have pushed harder and focused a little more and see a potential of breaking the 26 mph barrier with favorable winds.
