I headed up the trail today to get in some miles. I was passed by a couple riding up Camperdown Way, so I followed them across town to see if they knew a better way to cross than I did. Their way crossed the. Liberty Bridge and was really convoluted, but I got on the trail under the Academy Bridge. At Willard Street there was a tent set up selling Michelin bike tires. There were Miracle Hill Rest Stops at Sulphur Springs and in TR. There was a big commotion crossing Blue Ridge. There were a lot of nikes and walkers and cars stopped on both sides with one car laying on the horn. At Sulphur Springs they are painting the railroad car. Then on the Furman campus I passed Karen jogging. So I rode alongside her for between 1/2 and 3/4 mile. I rode on to the north end of the finished trail. Coming down the trail was fairly uneventful. The trail was very crowded, but I picked my way through the crowd. The Swamp Rabbit Cafe was packed to the gills, so I didn't stop. There was a train blocking the crossing at. Bramlett so I crossed the hump bridge and came into town on Washington. At the post office there was a fork lift stuck in the grass. Guys from work that I know Craig, Art, Mickey, Dennis, and Derrick was trying to get it out. The door was open at Don's house and music was blaring inside. I stopped but then went on. A car tried to hook me when crossing Laurens. It was two cars back from me at the light, but he tried to pass me and couldn't then tried to push me sideways.some people are just too stupid.
