Another real hot day today. Road gods were kind with the winds as I picked up a good tailwind on the climb toward Ovid. Wind shifted big time as I got to Lodi but only had four miles to go before making the turn. The pressure difference as I rode through the front that caused the wind to shift was great enough that I had to pop my ears to equalize the pressure. Caught a great tailwind through Interlaken but legs were too tired to push the big gear and capitalize on it so ended up spinning it out. Stopped in T-burg at Not my Dad's icecream shop on 96 for some refreshment and to use thier fountain to refill my bottles. Returned home over the hill to Odessa and had a good tailwind there too. Ended up having over fifty miles of tailwind on a sixty mile ride which almost never happens. Legs were empty but had a real easy sixty miles. Looked for awhile that I would get wet but stormclouds broke up before doing any damage.
