Got stuck in Elmira for the day and had a window to ride, so I headed up the southeastern ascent of Harris Hill to the park then descended on the western slope. Road has a gravelly section where there was recent construction that added a thrill to the downhill. Headed out River Road to Corning then climbed to Caton on Whiskey Creek road. Had trouble early in the climbs and it felt like my brakes were rubbing. Checked my brakes and one was in fact rubbing. Climbing was a little easier after that. Nice view from the park and Whiskey Creek is a low traffic climb. Bad part of the ride was a return to Elmira. Didn't have to ride through it today which was a relief as I had my fill of boarded up stores, potholes and stop lights a couple of days ago.
