I took off this morning in very high humidity but reasonable temps. when I got into Cleveland Park I found the main road going through the park barricaded and the gates closed. I didn't know why so I followed the trail that parallels that road and didn't see any reason for it to be closed. So that remains a mystery to me.
Since I was off my normal route I swung by the Y to get back on the trail along Cleveland Street. I also followed my new cut-through to get onto East Parkins Mill from Parkins Mill.
I pulled in the parking lot at work and up to the smoking area to see if Steve E and Steve H were out taking their break. I could see one person in there and it was Jim M. I talked to him for a couple of minutes and headed back out. I met a rider on the new section of the SRT (I never see any riders on it) and another rider on Fairforest. There were a fair number of cyclists, walkers, and joggers in the ICAR. There were no planes coming or going at the airport, but plenty of people sitting in the observation areas waiting for some activity.
Even though sweat was pouring off of me it was a good ride.
