 End of a 'perfect' week
Rode to & from work all 5 days this week - first 5-day commute week since Apr '10 - even though the morning temps were in the 80's & afternoon temps 98+ (heat index 105+).

Then tonight, played a softball game. I was able to get clutch 2-out bases clearing double in the bottom of the first - answering for the 3 runs our opponent scored in the top of the 1st. Another memorable play came in the top of the fifth. They had runners on 1st & 2nd w/no outs. The batter pops the ball towards shallow right field; I was playing first and turned my back to the plate to try & track down the ball. Failing to get to the ball in the air, I was able to glove it off its initial bounce. I then turned and threw the ball home and noticed the lead runner was about half way between third & home, while the trailing runner was practically standing on third, and the batter was making his way to second. Our catcher caught my throw, ran the runner back towards third before throwing the ball to our third baseman, who tried to chase down the runner but had to throw it to someone else that had backed up the play at the plate - after three more throws, the runner was tagged out by our third baseman. We ended up winning the game 14-13 by scoring the winning run in the bottom of the 5th (game called due to time limit).

Time for a restful weekend - no rides planned anyway.
