I took today trying to beat the rain that was on the way. It looked like it would be close if the computer radar was accurate. I headed out East North to Cleveland Park, then climbed the Wildwood dog park hills, then cut across downtown to the Swamp Rabbit. The Bramlett detour appears to be done so I went straight through and took off for Furman. When I came out north of Furman I could see that it was raining in Travelers Rest. I rode to US 25 then turned back to try to beat the rain home. I rode to Alley Kats and stopped for a drink then took off. Cis called as I was crossing Bramlett and said that it was pouring at the house. I made it through town and saw that downtown was wet about half a block after I turned. I ran into wet streets as I crossed Miant Street, then a light rain about a mile from the house. About 1/2 mile out it cut loose pretty good and was a real soaker by the time I got home.
