 SCTAC
I headed out to the SCTAC tonight for the Spinners regular Tuesday night ride. I left the start about 20 minutes early and was disappointed to find it fairly windy. But once on the route I felt stronger than I have and about half way around the wind died out. I stopped at Old Hundred grocery for a drink and was passed by a small group when I pulled back out to ride. I chased them for a couple of miles and passed them at Reedy Fork Road when they slowed for snacks and drinks. They passed me back on the steep hill on Holly, but I latched onto the last rider and stayed with them back to Perimeter Road. Once there they turned left when I turned right. I was sitting at 17.4 average mph and finished at 17.2 mph for the ride. That is my first significant ride over 17 mph.
