Took a longish ride with a couple of good climbs. Went to Watkins and climbed into the wind up New Corning Hill. Spun the climb fairly well and worked up a good sweat working to the top of the rise at the ten mile mark. After that effort worked the headwind over the next twelve miles of rolling descent to Corning. Felt good as I sprinted in Corning to catch the lights green which is always satisfying when it works. Caught the tailwind down River Road and legs started to feel the effects of the weekend's effort. Started sucking water and soon was running low. Had planned on hitting the climb up the southwest side of Harris Hill hard, but with legs getting heavy and water running low opted for a steady spin instead. Climb was fairly slow but very pleasant as it was mostly in the cool shade. Hung out at the top for a bit and watched the sailplanes being towed up. Descended in the fifties down the business side of Harris Hill and than caught the tailwind home. Didn't dare push the last twenty miles much with empty water bottles. Another good day on the bike. Although didn't have that high an average the miles passed quickly and pleasantly.
