I had hernia surgery nearly 7 weeks ago. The surgeon cleared me to ride yesterday. He is a cyclist and he told me to stay out of the big gears and not to get too hot. I drove to the Commons and rode the Straggler from there to TR and stopped for breakfast at the TRee House. I rode back south and had over 18 miles, so figured I could ride a little and get a quarter. I rode to the F-86, but the street was closed. I rode north again to Blue Ridge, then back to the Swamp Rabbit Café where I bought a bottle of water and some produce. That gave me just over 25 miles when I reached the car. I was very slow today. Hopefully my legs will come back, but they have a long way to do!
