Legs were tired after yesterday's race and long drive so I kept away from the hills today and stayed on the flats. Not much wind today which I was thankful for. Had a pleasant ride through the rollers to Van Etten where I turned onto 34 as it started to rain. Wasn't really that bad though as it was a warm steady rain as opposed to the cold downpour I rode through last week. Rained all the way to Waverly then let up as I went over the climb on old 17. Stopped in at the Dandy Mart in Chemung again and remembered it had rained on me the last three times I had ridden through Chemung. Crossed the Interstate and rode on the South side of it to Wellsburg then kept on Maple avenue back through Elmira. Was surprised that the lights remained mainly green as I passed through. Picked the speed back up as I returned to Montour down SR14. Tried hard to get to an eighteen mile an hour average but fell a little short. Had a good ride but was kind of sad that the July rides are over.
