I headed to town and out the Swamp Rabbit toward Travelers Rest. There is a new detour posted at the north side of Furman so I tried to follow that. It put me on US 25 (a 6 lane highway) then it came to three detour signs each pointing in different directions. I followed the most logical of the three, but it was a no-go. Although it did wander through a very nice neighborhood and golf course. I backtracked then took my normal detour around to Travelers Rest. I felt like I was riding into the wind for much of the ride.
