The much anticipated switch over for the local christian radio station took place this morning at 7:00 AM. Previously using two lower wattage signals at 94.1 & 97.7 didn't cover a lot of the St Louis metro area, then the opportunity came to acquire the 100,000 watt 99.1 which was airing classical music. There had been lots of debate about the loss of classical music in the STL area, but let there also be a realization of the 'light' that will now be broadcast to the STL & surrounding area.
It was great to hear the switchover on our home receiver (where we could not receive either of the two old signals), and to continue to listen to the broadcast on my MP3 player as I rode into work.
