I rode the Surly from home, getting away very late from when I wanted to start. I texted Erica to see if she wanted to have lunch while I was out.I rode straight up the trail. The bridge at McDaniel is closed and the bypass is in use. Gerry B called, so I called her back from the railroad car at Furman and we talked for a long time. Then I rode to the TReeHouse in TR and decided that I would be south way too early, so I stopped and had bacon and tomato slices with a 12 ounce café au lait. I nursed that coffee for a good while, then headed south to meet Erica at the Commons. Once there I had two tacos from Automatic Taco - a chili relleño and a chorizo. Erica sat in the inside area and talked over two hours. Then I rode home from there.
