Ken, Don Y, Luiz, Kimberly, and I did the Saluda ride from Tigerville. We went over Callahan Mountain on the way up. Don (who is 81) really struggled with Callahan Mountain and that effort got the better of him on the ride back. He was wearing a heart monitor and stopped any time it reached 140. But on the ride back he started to get light-headed and walked for a while. The ride over Callahan was a challenge and the ride down is very rough. Also Old 25 through the watershed is very rough. We stopped in Saluda and had brunch at Wakey Monkey! I had a sausage frittata with cucumber salad and a café au lait. I also refilled my water bottles as I had emptied them both riding up. The ride down the watershed was exciting as Old 25 is very rough in places. Dividing Waters isn't too bad. I had a good time riding.
