Was hoping for a short fast pace to today with some more hard climbing. Legs started to make excuses and failed to respond as I called for power up Skyline drive. Had to drop back in the saddle and nurse my way up the climb. Wind though light today provided some good resistance as I continued over the top of the climb and up the next hill to Logan. Spin also failed me today as the legs had again come up empty. Wasn't too disappointed though as have done quite a few good climbs this week and also have done a lot of speed work. Ended up dropping to touring speed. Had a mechanical issue with the rear brake rubbing against the rim whenever I came out of the saddle. Took me awhile to figure out what it was due to the grinding sound and vibrations it caused. Wouldn't think a brake rubbing would make that noise but there it was. Just needed to reposition the brakes and tighten the screw holding them to the frame to eliminate the issue. Tired legs today but not a bad ride. Scenery can't be beat coming back along the lake but traffic always seems to be heavy and there isn't much shoulder.
