I rode to Cleveland Park to join in the Ice Cream Ride from Cleveland Park the the Trail Side Creamery in Travelers Rest and back. The ride itself was at a very relaxed pace with several different levels of riders. We saw a girl down on the path with the police there and an ambulance arriving as we passed by on another path. As we pulled into the Travelers Rest it started sprinkling and it turned into a full-fledged rain when we arrived at the Creamery. I got a strawberry smoothie and stepped out to a torrential downpour. The rain was very localized, but it had stalled where we were, so the group sat and enjoyed the treats and the fellowship. The sun came out about 45 minutes later which was followed by the rain coming to a halt. We headed back down the trail and once on campus at Furman we met a couple and the girl went off the side of the trail and wrecked pretty hard. She seemed more embarrassed, but she will be sore and she has some road rash. I cut out of the group at Willard Street and took my normal path home. It was a fun ride.
