Rode up to FFBC for Praise Team practice, stopping at the Bridgeton Community Center along the way to drop off fall softball registration. Leaving the communnity center, I soon realize my rear tire is flat-flat. Do I stop & fix the tire, or walk it the 1/2 mile or so to church? I was early enough I should have time to fix it & get to church on time. While fixing it I notice different nicks & cuts, including a couple cuts that run 1.5 - 2 inches long ways on the tire - they are not the cause of the flat, but they are a little disturbing. Additionally, as I remove the tire from the rim to get to the tube, some of the bead that holds the tire inside the rim is detaching from the tire - that is really disturbing. I fix the tire and gingerly ride it the rest of the way to church, and get a ride home for me & my bike after practice. I think I need to replace this tire!
