This morning I rode to Yolanda's and we headed toward Cleveland Park. We went through the park instead of taking Woodland Way, so we checked put the Vietnam Memorial down there. She also wanted to see the root tree again. Then we went to the top of Furman Way and saw that the footbridge is in again, although it hasn't opened yet. They also have signs posted about changing the name from Furman Way to something else. We dropped back down to Falls Park and took off up the trail. We stopped at the FDR Memorial as well. We did stop at the north circle at Furman and checked for any small parts that might still be around after changing a tube in the dark two nights ago. Then it was on up to the north end of the trail.we went on White Horse Extension to Tubbs Mountain and rode up for the good views of Table Rock and. Paris Mountain. Then we took the long descent and climb back into TR. We got off the trail at Furman and rode by the Bell Tower and half way around the lake. We stopped at the water fountain by the restrooms and at the fountain by the railroad car and the fountain by the Sulphur Springs railroad car. Then we stopped at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe for a peach smoothie and an oatberry shortbread. We sat and talked for a good while then it was back down the trail and across town.
