Dr. Michael Shermer is the Publisher of SKEPTIC Magazine, Author of "Why People Believe Weird Things", "How We Believe", "Teach Your Child Science" and many more.

Shermer had a 10 year professional career as an ultra-marathon cyclist and competitor in the Race Across America. During his cycling career Dr. Shermer was featured four times on ABC's Wide World of Sports, and has written and hosted five cycling events for ESPN. Shermer has also written numerous cycling books, including 'Sport Cycling", "Cycling for Endurance and Speed", "The Woman Cyclist" and "The Race Across America: The Agonies and Glories of the Worlds Toughest Bicycle Race".
