Wanted to do some climbing today but didn't want to strain the legs as planning on doing the Run to the Lake tomorrow. Headed up the steep way to Dundee and climbed fairly well. Instead of going over the hill to Penn Yan on 14A took the less hilly Chubb Hollow road to Penn Yan. Caught a chill riding today on one of the downhills and am already missing the hot weather. Tried to get across the Keuka Inlet without actually going into Penn Yan but tried a couple of roads and found the bridges out and had yo turn around. Ended up going down into Penn Yan after all. Took the secondary roads back to Dresden rather than 54A. Hit a couple of short steep climbs and enjoyed them. Climbed back out of the inlet up to the Ridge Road and rode it back to Himrod. Saw another cyclist today. Young Amish boy was standing up riding a large bike and he was too small to sit in the saddle. He kept pretty good speed though and seemed to be having a great time. Guess he will need to grow into the bike. Winds were all over the place today but didn't really affect the ride. Nice little fall ride in Amish Country.
