Today I headed out a dew minutes after noon to get in a quick quarter. The ride was fairly uneventful until I got to the railroad car at Sulphur Springs. There was a lady down on the trail shrieking in pain. She had a fair amount of road rash and apparently a dislocated elbow. She was terribly embarrassed but she was in great need of medical help. We called 911 and EMS was very slow to get on the scene. She was riding alone, but a guy recognized her from his building. He called a friend to take her bike back to the building and EMS took her away. I rode on to across from Sun Rift and turned back south. I stopped at the tent at Sulphur Springs for water but his water tasted like a rubber hose. Then I stopped at the Cafe for some iced tea and a peach scone. When I left the I saw ominous clouds to the north, but I also stopped at Bike Street USA to see what they had in the way of touring bikes. By the time I crossed Poinsett the wind had kicked up and it was starting to sprinkle. Cis called once I was on West Park Avenue and said that it was pouring at home and to go back to McPherson Park and wait for her. I turned up .20 miles short of a quarter.
