Took yesterday off as had to hang around and sign for my new frame. Bought an new old Cipollini RB 800 from a clearing house on the internet. It appears to have been demo at some point but is in excellent condition. There were supposedly some problems with cracks in the integrated seat mast in some of the earlier models. This one is a later version that comes with a separate seat post and a shorter section of integrated seat mast. Worst case I can cut the mast off completely and insert the seat post. For now my legs are short enough to just use the integrated mast and hope it doesn't crack. Spent the day measuring and cutting the frame and steering tube to size. Have a group ride tomorrow in Fulton, NY with the Oswego boys. Area doesn't have much climbing so instead of the now traditional low key pre ride ride around Johnson Hollow did the Sullivinville route. Didn't push the climbs at all. Had a tailwind to the Junction and up the second climb but then had to push a headwind down the back nine. Legs still don't feel fresh despite pretty much taking two days off. Hopefully they will perk up for tomorrow's adventure though I don't anticipate tomorrow's ride being too stressful.
